Launch options for Linux with R9 390, AMDGPU driver, some really needed, some might be pointless. AMD_DEBUG=nodcc,nodma %command% eliminates some rare artifacting on the R9 390 and possibly R9 290 GPUs. I use Feral's gamemode daemon to set nice value etc. and Corectrl to enable the performance CPU governor and control GPU states and fan curve 2x MSAA improves visibility in complex areas, e.g. through railings etc. without the perf hit of 4x, 4x is a bit better and more consistent. shader settings have a big effect on performance. the low shader setting minimises map detail, cosmetic features and effects. some skins look bad on low textures but fine on medium. little to no perforance impact. high shadows improves shadow draw distance and minimises pop-in but is hard on GPU. medium is a nice compromise. decent draw distance and quality, still a lot faster than "high" low has rough environment shadows and short player draw distance, not recommended. very low has the same player draw distance but less map shadow detail and looks cleaner. Ubershaders enabled, disabling causes stutters and hitching on my hardware. Texture streaming disabled is best if you have enough dedicated video memory
